Venita Qualls, a psychotherapist with extensive credentials in mental health and addiction counseling, is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Counselor to join her team. This role is ideal for a compassionate counselor committed to making a meaningful impact on clients’ lives.

Job Overview:

The Mental Health Counselor will support clients through a range of counseling and rehabilitation services, helping those affected by anxiety, depression, substance abuse, grief, and other behavioral concerns. With a holistic and caring approach, you will work alongside clients and their families to foster healing, self-growth, and well-being.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling, rehabilitation, and support services.

  • Actively listen, assess, and observe clients to suggest suitable treatments or refer them to specialists as needed.

  • Counsel family members to help create a supportive environment for clients.

  • Offer relationship counseling to couples and assist clients with job or career concerns.

  • Work with children, adolescents, and adults, including those recovering from substance abuse or managing learning or behavioral issues.

  • Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and clinical social workers.

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Human Services, or a related field.

  • Relevant state licensing or certification (varies by state).

  • Prior experience in counseling or mental health support preferred.
